PROTECTING CONSUMERS

Protecting consumers is at the core of the Internet Gambling and Enforcement Act of 2007, introduced during the 110th Congress. Regulation combined with proper licensing, enforcement and proven controls would establish a framework to block underage and compulsive gamblers from gambling online. Such legislation would also ensure the security of Internet gambling transactions and protect against money laundering, fraud, and identity theft.
